The Swedish Government and the International Labour Organization (ILO) sign a $ 3.8 Million partnership agreement for the Renewable Energy Sector with KGRTC being the project implementing partner

Monday 16th November 2020 marked the beginning of the Skills for Energy in Southern Africa (SESA) project, which is a build-up from the recently ended SkiDRES Project. The Swedish Government and the International Labour Organization (ILO) signed a US $ 3.8 Million partnership agreement to execute this four-year project with KGRTC as an implementing partner.

The signing ceremony was hosted by the Head of Development Cooperation at the Swedish Embassy, Ms Susanna Hughes and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Country Director Mr George Okutho signed on behalf of his organisation. The ceremony was witnessed by Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre (KGRTC) Director Eng. Kaela Kennedy Siame and respective parties from the collaborating organizations are in attendance.

The main objective of this project is to increase the uptake of Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Regional Energy Integration interventions in Southern Africa, leading to a more sustainable and low-carbon energy mix.
