Eng. Peter Mwanza is Consultant –Training and Research at KGRTC with responsibility of implementation and delivery of the training programmes, consultancy and research in Mechanical engineering, Renewable Energy Technologies and Asset Management.  He is a Master of Engineering in Renewable Energy Engineering degree candidate and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, with more than 20 years of experience in engineering practice, training services, applied research, occupational health, safety and the environment. He has specialist knowledge in the alternative fuels, asset management, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). He has been formally hand on in conducting in-house training in various sectors of industry; with particular focus on Asset Management and Maintenance Management Systems, Industrial Energy Management, Destructive and Non- Destructive Testing Methodologies, Manufacturing Utilities efficiency Improvements and Manufacturing development, CAD/CAM Systems and Project Engineering. Peter has also worked extensively with ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001 and 55000, HACCP and GFSI.  He has spearheaded various industrial projects ranging from development of industrial waste water treatment systems to design of industrial emergency power systems.

Currently, Peter is actively involved in research on hybrid renewable based energy mini-grids systems focused on addressing holistic energy needs in developing communities.
