Introduction

Course Overview

The Wind Power Development course provides a detailed understanding in the selection of a site for a wind power generation and optimizing the designs to ensure that the proposed plant is technically and economically viable.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to:

· Provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to develop a wind power plant.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this training programme, course participants shall be able to:

  •  Explain what is involved in Wind Power Generation;
  •  Conduct Stakeholder Mapping
  •  Carryout Wind Resource Assessment;
  •  Carryout Wind Resource and Site Assessment
  •  Select and Optimise Wind Turbines for the Wind Power Plant;
  •  Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and other compliance requirements
  •  Manage the process of reaching financial closure.
