Introduction

Course Overview

The Hydropower Maintenance Routines course aims to provide participants with technical theory and practice in order to enable them to comprehend the principles of maintaining a large power station. The program includes practical demonstrations in the power station for the trainees to be acquainted with actual equipment and procedures.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to:

1. Provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to carry out maintenance in a hydropower plant.

Course Outcomes

At the end of the training programme, course participants shall be able to:

· Explain Hydropower Schemes

· Explain basic engineering science principles;

· Explain basic electrical theory;

· Read and interpret engineering diagrams;

· Work with basic mechanical workshop equipment;

· Maintain and inspect power station auxiliary equipment;

· Plan and execute maintenance tasks;
