Eng. Kapambwe Daniel
Eng. Daniel Kapambwe is a highly accomplished Computer Engineer and a Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia, with over 25 years of experience in ICT, SCADA systems, and Power system automation.
He specializes in the design, implementation, and optimization of SCADA and Distribution Management Systems (DMS), enabling real-time monitoring and intelligent control of power networks. With a strong background in computer networking, cybersecurity, and automation, he has been instrumental in integrating advanced digital technologies into power distribution infrastructure.
Eng. Kapambwe has led the development of complex SCADA architectures, implementation of IEC 61850 communication protocols, and optimization of real-time data analytics to improve grid stability and efficiency. He also brings extensive experience in enterprise IT systems, database management, and cybersecurity, ensuring the resilience and security of critical infrastructure.
As Manager – Information & Communications Technology at KGRTC, he leads the Centre’s digital transformation agenda, enhancing ICT infrastructure, system security, and connectivity in support of its regional energy training mission.
