Introduction

Course Overview

Machinery will need balancing from time to time. Among the key periods are when we have major rehabilitation and re-assembly works or during new installations and commissioning. Other instances can arise during normal maintenance and operation of equipment. Ensuring equipment is properly aligned is important in both prolonging the life and allowing for efficient operations.

The course is designed to help course participants identify various alignment problems and how to fix them. Identification of imbalance and how to rectify it is also dealt with. The course draws on strong aspects of practical work with use of appropriate tools and standards as being practiced in industry.
