KGRTC and APUA hosted a 4 days training workshop for the Training of Trainers of non-branded training centers under the African Network of Centres of Excellence in Electricity (ANCEE). The workshop ran from the 9th to 12th April 2019 at the Grand Palace Hotel in Lusaka.

The workshop which was officially opened by the APUA President, Mr. Victor Mundende,  who is also ZESCO Managing Director attracted over 30 delegates from 10 member states of APUA including, Mozambique, The Gambia, Angola, Malawi, and Nigeria. Others countries are Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya, Eswatini and the host Zambia.

Mr. Mundende added that the workshop was organized with the aim of contributing towards the achievement of a high level of professional qualification for African trainers in the power sector.

And speaking on behalf of the Director-General of APUA, Administration and Finance Director, Mr. Jemai Hichem said the exchange meetings significantly contribute to bringing together trainers in training centers, harmonizing training practices and developing concepts of a network for exchanging experiences and expertise.

Mr. Jemai said that the workshop was based on an approach based on enhancing competencies in power utilities and creation and evaluation of specific vocational education project in the power sector in
