KGRTC New Learning Centre Project

Progress Level - (Project in Progress): The final detailed design report including full architectural and engineering designs, work specifications, construction plans, implementation schedules tender documents comprising bills of quantities, forms of contracts and project cost estimates have been submitted, reviewed and approved. Construction cost's are estimated to be USD20,705,528.55 and the construction period will last for 3 Years. The EPB was approved by ZEMA and drawings were approved by Choma local planning authority.

KGRTC Small Hydro Power Station Project

Progress Level - (Project in Progress): Feasibility study reports and tender documents based on World Bank standards and FIDIC contract forms have been completed. The design flow of 11.0 m3/s ; 10.35 MW Hydropower Station with an annual energy production of 90.7 GWh and enhanced classical small hydropower station features suitable for training, this will be done at an estimated CAPEX of USD31.66 Million and a construction period of 3.3 years.”

KGRTC Wind Energy Project

Progress Level - (Project in Progress): Installation, commissioning and handovers of the 60 Meter MET MAST were done, wind measurements began on 17/02/2017 the six (6) Month Wind resource assessment interim report was submitted on 06/10/2017 and the twelve (12) month wind resource assessment draft report was submitted on 30/03/2018. Submission of the draft final report on wind resource assessment was made on, 28/02/2018 and the 12 month wind resource assessment report was submitted on 30/03/2018. Currently more reports and monitoring are still going on in order to prepare for the next implementation stage.

KGRTC Power System Simulator Project

Progress Level - (Project Completed): This Customized Power Systems Simulator with the Zambian Transmission Network, CEC Network, Lusaka Distribution Network, Uganda Transmission Network, and the Reduced Network for SAPP ǀ Generic Dam Simulator was delivered, commissioned and handed over on 16/12/2016. The building is at Defects liability stage but functional.
