Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre and Zambia Sugar Plc Sign SDF MoU

Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre (KGRTC) signed an MoU with Zambia Sugar Plc for employee skill development training programs to be supported by the Skills Development Fund (SDF) a Technical Education, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) financial support project meant for skills development in both the formal and informal sectors of the economy.

A total of three Zambia Sugar Plc employee groups have been trained at KGRTC under the above mentioned agreement in different programs, the first training was a “Cable Jointing and Termination” (CJT) program that took place at Zambia Sugar Plc premises in Mazabuka from 25th November to 6th December 2019, Phase 2 of this program was conducted at KGRTC from Monday 13th to Friday 17th January 2020.

The second group was trained in “Substation Operation Maintenance (SOM)” and the third group was trained in “Transformer and Switchgear Maintenance (TSM)” both programs were conducted at KGRTC from 2nd to 13th December, 2019.

A total of 17 Zambia Sugar Plc Employees have been trained by KGRTC in their respective fields of operation through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) from Technical Education, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA).
