Coded Welding Testing Training at KGRTC – Starting Soon… Dates to be advised.

Workshop Overview: Coded Welding requires critical consideration of many aspects including process, material, thickness, type of joint, and position (difficulty) of the joint. Equally important is the testing of the welding joints in order to ensure that each joint passes quality assurance criteria for service. In this regard, KGRTC in partnership with the Southern African Institute of Welding (SAIW) will conduct practical training on Non-Destructive Testing applied for Forgings, Castings and Welds using Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Testing, and Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Testing methods based on relevant ASME, ISO, and EN standards. Each session is designed on a 4 day training + 1 day exam basis; with the detailed syllabus and course program provided as part of training manual.
